At Northpine, we are proud to offer competitive opportunities for our students. Basketball is a big part of our school sporting culture and we offer two after school programs for your student to be involved in.

1) Wednesday Basketball Competition

This basketball competition is offered to Northpine students only (intraschool) and gives a great opportunity for students in Years 5 through to Year 12 to participate. Each student is assigned to a team into either the Year 5-8 competition or the Year 9-12 competition. The competition costs $100 for the semester and runs for approximately 15 weeks.  A $50 fully refundable bond payment is also required for singlet. Sign up information will be emailed to all students and parents in Years 5-12 later this week. Games are scheduled most Wednesday afternoons throughout the semester and will begin on Wednesday 7th Feb from 3:30pm (Years 5-8) and 4:30 (Years 9-12). Contact Miss Sarah Martin for further information, sarah.martin@northpine.qld.edu.au

2) Brisbane Outer School Basketball League (BOSBL) Competition

Each year our school nominates four basketball teams into this competition including junior boys and girls and senior boys and girls teams. Students who would like to participate and represent Northpine in this interschool competition need to attend a selection trial to participate. Dates for these trials are:

• Senior Boys and Girls – Tuesday 6th February 3:30-5pm
• Junior Boys and Girls – Thursday 8th February 3:30-5:00pm.

Regular training will run on these days above throughout the semester, with game nights for Juniors on a Monday and Seniors on a Thursday commencing later in Term 2.  Team lists of selected students will be published prior to the next week of training.
