Welcome to our Library in 2020! We have lots of great activities planned for the year ahead.

It has been wonderful to see many parents and grandparents reading with their children in our quiet Reading Space before and after school. Students from Year 2 and up are also able to sit and read in this quiet space during their lunch break as well.

Reading Rangers After School Book Club will commence today with Group 1 – Prep students. This group is almost full so please contact the Library asap if you would like your child to join. Meetings are held once a month for each primary age group and give the students an opportunity to share what they have been reading as well as to participate in craft or activities relating to books or authors.

Once again, we have our Bookstore gift card which will go to one student who has been reading throughout the term. Primary students receive an entry for each additional book they read outside class library time and for Secondary Students, an entry for each book they borrow.

Students can play games, build Lego and be creative in our Makerspace at lunch time. Each year level in Primary has an allocated day: Monday – Year 3, Tuesday – Year 4, Wednesday – Year 5 and Thursday – Year 6. Secondary students are welcome to use these materials in their Senior Space any day of the school week.

Thank you to the many students who volunteer in the Library and enjoy helping to make it a nice, clean and welcoming space.

We look forward to many exciting times ahead this year with Queensland School Library Week and Library Lovers’ Day, Premier’s Reading Challenge and celebrations, Scholastic Book Fair, Reading Rangers After School Book Club, an Author visit, Carnival Book Fair and much more.
