Primary Week of Worship Highlights

Tuesday, 31/03/2020 Posted by: Tammy Howse

In Term 1 Primary School celebrated our Annual Week of Worship (WOW). The PA Centre became a jungle full of flowing vines, luscious trees, a beautiful stream and a Ranger’s Office as we explored the theme: ROAR!  Life is Wild. God is good.  All the students enjoyed new songs like I’m Trusting You, Thankful and King of My Heart. Thank you to our Year 2 and Year 6 Worship Teams who led us each day in our singing. It was such a privilege to hear all students sing out the words of these awesome songs.

Our Chaplaincy Team and a few brave staff (namely Mr Blake and Mr Thrippleton) creatively introduced each day’s message with an engaging skit. Guest Pastor Shaun Lieder shared stories from his life alongside the story of Joseph from the Bible to teach us all that when life is scary, unfair, changing, sad or good…  GOD IS GOOD.  Whatever happens… God is good. Each day Pastor Shaun shared a Bible verse which is on a bookmark that all students received as a memento of their week.

Many families also took the opportunity to catch a glimpse of our WOW week by joining the WOW Celebration Day on Saturday morning hosted by Refresh Northpine Community Church. It was a fabulous end to a memorable week. We pray your child and your family were blessed by WOW 2020.

Life is Wild. God is Good. Such a timely teaching in light of all that is happening in our world right now. Life is scary, unfair, changing and sad for many of us during COVID-19, yet know that God is still good. He is with you. He is your strength, courage, peace and hope. Our chaplaincy team is praying for you.
