Queen’s Award for Girls’ Brigade

Tuesday, 21/11/2017 Posted by: Marketing

Year 12 student Monique Robertson has been giving selflessly to the community and participating in her Girls’ Brigade squad for a number of years now and consequently has been awarded the Queen’s Award by the governor.

The Queen’s Award is the highest award to be obtained in The Girls’ Brigade and is an International Award. It is designed to encourage girls and young women to a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, while respecting other faiths, inspiring them to greater endeavour in service within the general community and to make a contribution to the worldwide concept of The Girls’ Brigade.

Monique has had to complete panel interviews, undertake regular service and volunteer in the local community and church.  She had to complete many assigned tasks and presentations delegated to her by the State Queen’s Award Committee in an effort to enhance the lives of community members around her.

Monique has impacted positively the lives of those around her and we wish her continued success with her Girls’ Brigade and her post high school life.  Well done Monique, we are all proud of you and your accomplishments!
