Stormforce – Operation Freddo

Wednesday, 20/03/2019 Posted by: Marketing

Stormforce, our Primary Service Program, has started again for 2019 with students participating in ‘Operation Freddo’ last week. This service challenge was introduced by our Primary Student Chaplains and provided an opportunity for all primary students to create a card for an adult in our school or local community. As always, our Primary students were excited to participate and be part of a project that serves others.

Children made their cards during Chapel time on Thursday March 14, putting their learning about God’s love into action by sharing a positive message with others. A Freddo Frog was attached to each card, which were given to a range of adults in our community, including high school staff, parents, administration and learning support staff, our maintenance team and members of our local community. Cards were also made specifically for adults attending Refresh Church on Saturday to tie in with the conclusion of the high school Week of Worship program.

This small act of service has been appreciated by many and is a great reminder that serving others can occur in many different ways.  We are continually impressed and inspired by the enthusiasm and willingness of our students to serve and share Jesus with others, and encourage them to continue doing so in all aspects of their lives.
