On 17 May, Northpine Christian College held their annual Open Evening, to great success. The purpose of the night is to create a fun, open atmosphere that the school community can enjoy for a night. Many first-time visitors were also present, creating an entertaining dynamic. Northpine’s extensive, mostly outdoor event was blessed with a friendly sky and an even friendlier public.
A great variety of activities were available. Tours by current students were offered to anyone who was interested. An inflatable obstacle course was running and was very popular with the younger ones. A petting zoo nearby was complete with sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, piglets and guinea pigs. Visitors could also climb up an artificial rock-climbing wall. The library was bustling with activity as they were running their annual Book Fair. The Primary, Middle and Senior teachers set up exhibits and ran activities displaying each year level and department, and the Music and Drama Departments showcased the students’ talents with a number of performances including a sneak peek into the school’s musical production of Annie Jr.
Northpine Christian College would like to thank the students, staff and Parents & Friends team involved in the preparation and coordination of the evening, as well as all the families who took the time to come learn more about what the school has to offer.
