This past weekend, Northpine’s musical production of Annie Jr finally hit the stage. Both Saturday night and Sunday afternoon shows were sold out, guaranteeing that our students had great audiences to share their performance with.

This year marked Northpine’s first production that incorporated both primary and secondary students. Having never directed a production that involves primary students, I was a little apprehensive at first.  But as soon as I saw the incredible talent that flowed into the audition room, I had no doubts that this production would definitely be one to remember.

Between our cast and live musical band (conductor, by Aimee Page) there were approximately 40 students involved in our production. From day one, these students were dedicated, respectful and passionate, making every minute of this journey a joy.

We are extremely proud of each and everyone’s growth in focus, commitment, and in what it means to be a performer. We are also incredibly blessed and thankful to have had such a wonderful production team, who worked so hard to make this performance possible. I guarantee that every audience member walked out of the theatre proud of the students involved, and in awe of the talent displayed.
