Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Presentation

Northpine Christian College was proud to see one of our participants presented with the Gold Award for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. The Gold Award Ceremony took place at City Hall on Friday, 25 June in front of friends and family of the awardees in the main hall. The Master of Ceremonies was Ms Pippa Sheehan, a Channel 10 journalist and presenter who is a past Gold Awardee. The awards were presented by The Duke’s representative, the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Governor of Queensland.

Congratulations to our Gold Awardee—Ryan Boughen, a current Year 12 Student at Northpine.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is recognised in 144 countries worldwide and is highly regarded by employers and the community. It is a Youth Excellence Award that develops youth holistically in the areas of Physical, Skills, Community Service and Adventurous Journey. Northpine Christian College is proud to deliver The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. The award is open to youth between the ages of 14 to 25 in the levels of Bronze, Silver and Gold.
