Tuesday, 05/06/2018 Posted by: Marketing

On May 15, six members of the Year 12 Business Management class went to the University of the Sunshine Coast’s new campus in Caboolture for the High School Business Competition. The students competed with other schools to present solutions to the case presented to them—a real-world business case scenario on Big Kart Track, the largest track in Australia, based on the Sunshine Coast. They were required to undertake an analysis of the Big Kart Track business and to make recommendations to business owner, Mr Ferre De Deyne, on ways to expand his business, targeting a range of audiences using exciting events, innovative technology, new programs and safety precautions. Mr De Deyne is intending to implement a number of their recommendations. On May 31, 2018 the winners of the competition were announced, with Northpine Christian College taking out first place. Students won $150 cash each, a $1,000 USC scholarship each and a $2,000 cheque for the school. Congratulations to the winning team: Grace Archer, Teagan Laszlo, Sarah MacGregor, Anotida Matingo, Natalia Perez and Tyran Wong-Tung.
