Summer and Brody shine in Literary Competition

Friday, 28/10/2016 Posted by: Marketing

Our students have done it again! Two of our Year 11 students have taken on a reputable state-wide competition and won a significant literary prize with their attractive turns of phrases, sophisticated vocabulary and enticing topics.

Brody Castle and Summer Davidson in Year 11 entered the prestigious IEUA-QNT, the English Teachers Association of Queensland and the James Cook University 2016 Literary Competition and were selected as Highly-Commended for Section A of the competition – Non-fiction Prose. The happy students, together with their families, have been invited to attend an official Awards Ceremony at the Queensland Multicultural Centre to celebrate this wonderful achievement and network with winners from other schools.

Brody and Summer’s success is, first and foremost, proof of their commitment, tenacity and talents, as well as evidence of our school’s focus on identifying, nurturing, challenging and recognising every child’s potential and skills. We congratulate them for this success and we are proud to have them at Northpine.
