World Cup Showjumping Win

Friday, 31/08/2018 Posted by: Marketing

From 2-5 August, Jasmine Jensen, Year 8, competed in Showjumping at the Gatton World Cup at the Gatton Showgrounds. Over four days of competition, Jasmine competed against 185 other riders, including Juniors in her age group, as well as adults. Riders from all over Australia, New Zealand and Asia were among them.

Jasmine won four rosettes for individual competitions and $140 in prize money. But the big prize was a garland (for her horse JFK’s neck) for winning Overall Champion in the Juniors age group. This is an incredible accomplishment, as World Cup shows are among the largest and most difficult for young riders to compete at.

Jasmine’s next big event will be the Australian Zone Teams Showjumping Challenge in October. Congratulations Jasmine on your World Cup win!
