On Friday 15 February, our Year 8 and Year 10 students were involved in the Challenge-Invictus picnic breakfast. This was a special event to ceremonially celebrate the beginning of a two-year journey for Year 8 students through the Challenge-Invictus (Yr 8) and Challenge-The Next Step (Yr 9) programs.

These programs are designed to support students in developing strategies for resilience and increased well-being for life.

To welcome Yr 8 to Challenge-Invictus, the Yr 10 students stood and encircled all of Yr 8 to show their support. Each Year 10 student then personally presented their Year 8 buddy with a handwritten letter in their new Invictus journal.

For Yr 10s it was a chance to ‘give-back’ and serve other students as significant peers. Students enjoyed sharing and networking together over their delicious breakfast, prepared by the chaplaincy and teaching staff.
