As part of the Peer Mentoring Program, the new yet robust High Achieving Students Program was introduced in 2016. Led by Mrs Gabriela Davies, Secondary School Teaching and Learning Coordinator, and Tiffanie Turnbull, former OP 1 Northpine Christian College student, the program was instrumental in motivating and equipping these students, providing them with in-depth and relevant information regarding available and attractive extra-curricular activities and scholarships.
The students were guided in choosing an area and activity of interest, and supported through the application process.
Each Thursday afternoon from 3:30pm – 4:30pm, Mrs Davies as well as former high achieving NCC students lead an initiative called Academic Success Peer Mentoring Program.
The High Achieving Program is a 2016 teaching and learning initiative introduced and led by Mrs G Davies, Secondary School Teaching and Learning Coordinator, and Tiffanie Turnbull, former OP 1 NCC student.
In January 2016, the Northpine Christian College leadership team decided to dramatically change the school’s approach to students challenged to meet deadlines and complete assessments.
